This design was realized for a competition. The project fulfills two ambitions: one one side to integrate with a minimal volume in the cityscape; on the other side to provide an efficient working space in a highly sustainable building. The mass recalls the shape of the surrounding mountains. for the facades we have adopted a system of timber brise-soleil either vertical (north facade) or horizontal (south facade), according to the orientation towards the sun. Through this smart strategy the solar radiation is always properly filtered and the interior of the offices can feature a low energy cooling system.
